Did you know that over 20 million kids in our country receive free or reduced-price lunch during school? With summer break just around the corner many of them will be going hungry without options for food. MOD’s charity partner for our Kamp Washington location, Generosity Feeds, is stepping up to the challenge.
Generosity Feeds is a non-profit organization based in Virginia that is dedicated to fighting hunger across America. They mobilize hundreds of people to package and feed children who go hungry outside school hours. Like MOD, Generosity Feeds understands the ripple effect of doing the right thing. Instead of tackling a huge issue like hunger on their own, their team works with schools, businesses, churches and other volunteer groups to put together 10,000 or more all-natural, healthy meals in just a couple of hours.
At every Grand Opening, MOD donates 100% of pizza proceeds to a local charity, which is chosen by the MOD Squad. MOD Kamp Washington chose Generosity Feeds for their grand opening and the MOD Squad there is thrilled to be supporting such an important cause. It’s not every day you get to raise money for charity while on the clock.
