When MOD co-founders Scott and Ally Svenson started MOD in 2008, they thought about what else MOD could mean for communities that were struggling in the midst of the biggest recession since the Great Depression – jobs. And not just any jobs. The Svenson’s founded MOD with a passion for creating meaningful work in a service industry that rarely got the respect it deserved. The company focuses on hiring people for their potential, not their past or limitations.
Almost eight years later, these values and goals are still at the core of MOD’s people-centered culture. We’re grateful for our many hiring partner like PROVAIL, a non-profit based in MOD’s home state of Washington that works with people with disabilities. Through their Employment Services Program, PROVAIL offers individualized job coaching and job placement with MOD and other companies. Sam (pictured) connected with us through PROVAIL and is one of many incredible individuals who have become beloved members of the MOD family. And that’s just the beginning!
We work with additional amazing hiring partners including Trillium, Goodwill, FareStart, Community Partnership for Transition Services and more. As our team grows, MOD is dedicated to building and expanding upon these partnerships. Do you know of any other organizations MOD should join forces with? Please share.
